Musical Food Carnival 2009

Competition Rules and Regulation 

1.        Contestants will be limited to perform not more than 3 minutes in audition.

2.        Contestants who do not show to perform at their             
       confirmed scheduled performance time will be disqualified 
       and replaced with a “stand by” alternate. No exceptions.
3.        Contestants need to understand that the time, manner and 
       method of judging shall be solely within the discretion of 
       the competition officials and the decision of the judges             
       will be final in all cases. No appeals accepted.
4.        Contestants are not allowed to change title of song three 
       hours before competition.
5.        Contestants are not allowed to repeat the song during 
       competition.
6.        Contestants are not allowed to change venue, date, time, 
       number of perform among contestants without permission.
7.        Contestants have to perform solely without music during 
       audition.
8.        Costume should obey to university rules.
9.        Majority green boards from judge represent pass the 
       audition.
10.    Majority red boards from judge represent fail to proceed 
       further.
11.    Organizer would not to provide any food and beverage for 
       participant.
12.    Organizer would not to provide any transportation for 
       participant.
13.    Organizer would not to provide any costume for 
       participant.
14.    Organizer would not to provide any CD, VCD & DVD for 
       participant.
15.    Organizer would not responsible if any spoil on CD, VCD 
       & DVD.
16.    Organizer has the right to terminate participant if the 
       information given are not true.
17.    Organizer has the right to play back participant picture and 
       video in the competition.
18.    Organizer has the right to terminate participant if fail to 
       obey the competition rules and regulation.   
19.    Poster will be provided by organizer for last final 
       contestants.
20. Poster pasting must get approval from organizer.
21.    Qualify contestants will gain a congratulations form from 
       organizer.
22.    RM 10 will be charged per participant.
23.    RM 1 will be charged for admission fee.
24.    The criteria for judging in all semi final and PK round are 
       30% vocal, 25% pitch, 20% diction and pronunciation, 15% 
       tempo, and 10% stage presence.
25.    The criteria for judging in grand finale night is 15% vocal, 
       10% pitch, 10% diction and pronunciation, 10%  tempo,5% 
       stage presence, and 50% vote.
26.    Voting ticket is RM0.30 per ticket.

 

 Pole Star Melody Singing Competition ’09

Pole Star Melody Singing Competition was brought in the carnival because it was found that there were many talented students with great voice in UUM. This event was aim to motivate and encourage the hidden potential singer bravely show up their talent on the stage. Besides that, the event can train the singer to perform better through the evaluation or judgment from the invited professional judge.

It will going to be an excited and grand singing competition, as this will attract many contestant and participants with great rewards and benefits. The participants will have a chance to experience a true journey of singer once the competition started.

Hence, what are you waiting for?? You may be the 1st ever Polestar in UUM!

Top Favorite: RM 100 + Trophy
Top Vocal: RM 100 + Trophy

2/10  Quarter Final at Dewan Seminar FTM
3/10  Semi Final at Dewan Seminar FTM
8/10-10/10  Final ,Grand Final at padang Palapes
